Coastal My Account System Conversion FAQTo assist customers with using the upgraded system, we've listed a number of commonly asked questions regarding the change and the new set-up procedures: Q. I pay my bill online every month, but I prefer to do it manually. Can I still do this with the new system? A. Yes. You can continue to login each month to submit a manual online payment. Simply login to the new system and you will find several options to conveniently and securely pay your bill. You may use Coastal's current payment system through July 20, 2008 if you choose to do so. However, to give yourself time to become familiar with the new system, we encourage you to start using the new system when it becomes available July 1. Q. I've always used the feature on Coastal's billing system that automatically charges a portion of my bill at different times of the month. Will I be able to continue to submit these multiple recurring payments each month? A. No. This payment option will not be available after June 30, 2008. If you are currently setup for this type of payment, there are two options available to you: If you make no changes to your profile, your payment option will be automatically
adjusted to draft the full amount due from the account you have on file on your
due date. This will begin with your July bill and will remain in effect unless
you change your profile. Q. With Coastal's system, I often used the "Maximum Amount Charged" option to place a ceiling on my monthly charges. Will I be able to continue to submit auto payments up to a maximum amount each month? A.
Q. I have already scheduled an automatic payment that will occur after June 30, 2008. Will I need to reschedule this payment? A. Most likely not. Any payments currently scheduled for drafting after June 30, 2008 (and before July 20, 2008) will processed as normal. However, if you have a payment scheduled for after July 20, 2008, this information will be erased at system conversion and you will need to resubmit this payment information. Q. I have my account setup to automatically charge my credit card for the full amount due each month. How will the change to the new system affect me? A. If you have a credit card on file in the Coastal billing system for monthly charges of your full amount due, you must be aware that this billing and account information WILL NOT automatically convert to the new system. You will need to log on to the new system on or soon after July 20, 2008 and set up your new account and re-enter your credit card information. Once your account is set up, you can select the recurring monthly charge option. Q. I'd prefer to make no changes to my profile and allow Centurytel to automatically convert my account. How can I confirm that my recurring payment option converted correctly? A. The best way to do this is to review your first bill. When you receive your July bill, please verify that your payment is scheduled for automatic payment. Your bill should state clearly that payment will be drafted on your due date. If it does not, the automatic payment has not been recognized by the new system. In this case, please make your July payment via an alternate payment. Then, you can set up your new monthly options either via the new online bill payment system or by contacting one of our customer service representatives.
